EIEDA helps District build new Booker T. Washington School in Champaign

The Champaign Community Unit School District Number 4 issued $86.7 million in bonds to build the new 59,000 square foot Booker T. Washington Elementary School building on the north side of Champaign. Funds were also used to make improvements at Garden Hills Elementary School, Bottenfield Elementary, Kenwood Elementary, Robeson Elementary and Westview Elementary.The Eastern Illinois Economic Development Authority (EIEDA) served as Lessor for the transaction.
